M1 data reloading

It should be better that when we reinstall new version we could hold symbols and instruments installed in old. At every new build now we need recreate instrument and symbols and is only time loosing. Thanks a lot.

you can copy paste user - data folder

if you use autoupdate you don't need to do this, your data from old version will be preserved.

If you do clean installation you only need to copy /data folder from the old version.

It is not so. When I update SQX, the folder Data in User is rewritten and I lost all data that I loaded. Now I solved renaming Folder data before update in dataold, then after update delete folder data created and renaming dataold in data.

how exactly did you updated it? Didn't you downloaded new version as a ZIP?

I just tested it and autoupdater doesn't overwrite data. There is no data folder in update, so it cannot do it.
