Yeah i also wrote a simple suggestion for this problem:

https://roadmap.strategyquant.com/tasks/sq4_9961

And i even found a walk around to re-seting the parameters like spread, slippage, swaps etc too like so:
Right click on your custom project > modify symbols > Turn on "Use default settings".
this will reset the parameters i stated above Other than the Dates. :).

But a simpler solution is badly needed, like i already suggested in the link above..
