it fails on 4th row, and the times seem to be correct - it is a bug. Try with the same data as in the screenshot

Hi Mark,
I have tried to import data that I have create from tick story but it fails , tried to down load direct from your down load link but data does not match my icmarkets broker data which is EST +7 Newyork hours or GMT +2/3 US daylight Savings Time . Using the unknown for Timezone it starts process but stays at 0% and after 5min I get the error you see in attachment Data import2,   in SQ3 it had Predefined File Format TDD format format   which worked perfect, I need a fix for this so I can use SQ4 version! Please advise!

Thanks
Jason

Hi Jason,
we have just updated the import engine. Now it should better recognize the date and time format of the file to be imported. When I look at your error, I think it is caused by the date format choosed. Please try to type 'yyyy.MM.dd HH:mm:ss:SSS' in the Date format field and try again.

Hi Jason,

I can see a couple of problems in your settings on the screenshot.

  1. You still use an invalid date format. The seconds and milliseconds are delimited by ':' in your data file, but you use dot as a delimiter in the date format. Please correct the date format to 'yyyy.MM.dd HH:mm:ss:SSS'.
  2. The columns have no type set. Please try to set these column types: Date & Time, Bid, Ask, Volume, Volume.

Hope this helps.

Have a nice day

Tomas

Hi,

Yes that worked however it did not allow me to set TimeZone and I had to use Unknown , is this normal because the file is EST+7 DST but display
says UTC+00:00

Thanks

Hi,

I found some timezone issues during testing this morning. It will be fixed in the next Beta release.

In Beta 2, the timezone is automatically set to UTC+00:00 for the Unknown option. It will remain and be shown as Unknown in Beta 3.

So far the timezone only matters when importing new data to a symbol with already existing data. SQ automatically converts the data to be imported to the original symbol timezone to keep the data consistent.
