Stock Data for StockGroup

1)  When creating a new StockGroup. After typing my custom StockGroup and proceed. 

I have the screen blank (see attached screenshot).
2) It seems SQX 137 RC2 (Ultimate) having issue downloading historical Stock Data

thanks, problem with empty screen was already fixed.


What about point 2, please provide more info. Downloading SQ data should work properly.

To fix the problem with empty screen please replace the attached file in your sqx install folder

internal\plugins\DataManagerBasket\DataManagerBasket.jar

Also, sending you an screen shot of my Data Manager Progress Bar.
Note: the progress bar keeps showing, even after I shutdown SQX and restart again.

I can't Pause', nor 'Stop'

Hello, thanks for log file but there is no error related to data download.


The progress bar with stop/pause buttons are displayed permanently, it is correct. 

After you click to 'Update data' switch to Data or Log tab to see the progress.

Thanks for info. 
But, it seems the stcok historical data is only upto 18.04.2023 (pls see the 'Data to' column in my attachment screenshot above). 
How to get the historical data updated up to previous biz day?

Hello, there is no RC2 issue in data - issue is on our server. Tommorow afternoon should be historical data available again. I'll notify you about this in this ticket.

historical data are on server and are available to download.

If you can't see them, please delete these 2 files:

user/data/data_stock.version

user/data/data_futures.version

So you deleted these 2 files, restarted SQ, and after update data you won;t see any news?

I'm attaching actual screen. You should see that most tickers has data till 25.april. (Yesterday data will be processed during today's afternoon)

Yes, I have deleted the two .version files.
There is no change of historical data even after I click the Update selected (hence,  I have done some selection of stocks, then click Update selected).
Pls refer to attached screen.

Its strange, I see in your files this content: 20230419 - this means that you don't see a new changes in our CDN.

When I started SQ this morning I got file with content 20230427, which is correct.


From what country are you? Does issue still continue?

Its strange, Data should be updated on each servers.

Lets try this simple step. Open this file in your web browser: https://cdn.strategyquantcdn.com/data/database/data_stock.version

You must download text file with content: 20230427


For your information - this file contains latest available version of historical data for stocks

I have clean up the existing SQX 137 RC2, and reinstalled. 
But, the problem remains the same.
Is there any more steps I can do to fix the Stock Historical Data Download?

I have downloaded the file

It has content as 20230501 see file attached.

I still have the same problem. Stock data only upto 2022.03.31

Great, it means that CDN you are using contains new data version.

So you clicked to "update all" button and you won;t see data till 1st may? Of course, there are lot of data which are no longer updated because its renaming or delisting, but for example for AAPL stock you should get data till 1.5.2023. 

Can you please:

- start SQ

- click "Update all" btn

- check some common stocks as AAPL, PFE, XOM, if they are updated, or you still see their date t

Update All seems working.


Before clicking 'Update All', I try testing Update Selected.
It seems not working.
Here is the way  I did it.
1) I made selected stocks by clicking check marks on the left side of the asset tables.
2) Click the Update selected button.
3) There was a green box at the bottom right of the screen showing: 'Updates started'

4) But, there is nothing happening. The data is not updating.

After a while, then I click 'Update all' button.
This time, SQX start downloading historical data which is upto 2023.05.01.

Question: at what time the stock historical data is available for the corresponding day?

OK, thank you, I'll check 'Update selected' button if this works correctly.


For your question about availaibility of historical date.

- today afternoon (about 4:00pm in UTC+2) we will donwload data from yesterday and prepare them for its usage in SQ

- this data will be available on our CDN server tommorow morning (about 9am UTC+2).

So this means that when you update data you should get 2 days old data. Of course in case, when everything is working correctly :-)

Thanks for your answer.
1) It will be good if SQX stock historical data be updated after the closing EOD.
2) Are the historical data for ASX (Australia Stock Exchange)  listed stocks also available?
If they are, can you show me some examples stock codes (for example for Telstra, ANZ Bank, etc)

Yes. ASX stocks are available in SQ app.

Just go to Data Manager, click to the button SQEquity data / Find data and select ASX exchange in the combobox on the top of screen.

For example: TLS.AX
