This shouldn't have causen any problems, but maybe it is crashing your computer.
Can you try running 110 version with Java 8?
To do it:
- copy the folder j64 from your Build 108 installation to your 110 installation - rename the one existing in 110 installation to something else.
- Then delete the file /internal/libs/Snippets.jar and start SQ.
- After start you'll probably see a warning dialog about G1 garbage collector, you can ignore it and click No.
Then work with your 110 installation as usual - see if there will be computer crash or not.
Please let me know the result.
You can continue to use Java 8, but we should find teh cause of these problems.
The strange thing is that it restarts your computer, doesn't just crash the application.
Do you have SQ configured to use offheap memory in Performance settings?
You can open Reliability history also by opening your Control panel, then typing reliability in the search field on the top right.
Maybe there will be some useful information that will tell us why it crashes your computer.

does it happen every time you start build?
I would say this would be related to your computer, perhaps some bad sectors in memory chip, because Windows shoul be able to handle it otherwise.
Please try also look at your SQ configuration in Performance. Don't you have it configured to use more memory than is your RAM? I think the default setting is 32 GB, it might be too much for your computer.
