Black Screen after overniught session fixed, but now GUI unresponsive/sluggish

The issue of a black GUI screen after leaving builder running overnight was fixed from 112 to 113, but now it is place is a visible but very sluggish GUI...takes 2-5 seconds between clicking on and getting a response from a GUI element, and this never behaviour never improves. Behaviour usually kicks in after around 2-3 hours runtime without touching it. Also top 3 strategies, and other such elements are no longer updated to reflect new top strategies in data bank. App needs restarting in order to be useable again. 1 core is always reserved for the GUI.

This is now at the point where SQX is just about usable...UI is just really slow and clunky to work with and not pleasant. In addition it will crash repeatedly every 2 to 3 hours (the UI will crash). The experience is like working on a very slow computer with no processors reserved for the UI. 112 UI was very responsive, even with builder or reteter running.

it is strange that this isn't reported by more users. Maybe it is related to your computer.


The only major thing we changed in build 113 was java version - from OpenJDK to Azul.


Can you please try to use /j64 folder from your 112 installation in your 113 installation, if it doesn't fix the problem?
Just rename the j64 folder in the target and then copy it from the source installation.

Tried it. Now all 6000 of the strategeies in the buidler databank that were generated over the last 4 days have vanished, only 194 remain. Switched back to the J64 113 and still, only 194 strategeis in databank.


How do I get the missing 5806 back?

In the meantime I tried a professional data recovery tool that set me back $80...it got 5000 of them back from the builder#results folder...but when loading them back into SQX only 2000 loaded and the dialogue gave a huge list of errors, see attached.


Not particularly amused. Right old mess.


106-112 I could at least work with on a daily basis.

Status changed from New to Fixed

it should be fixed, we fixed problem that caused browser sluggishness, and also greatly reduced memory needed to run backtests.


As for the missing strategies - the log says it was impossible to load them because of bad ZIP format - most probably these files were corrupted. Once they are corrupted there's not much that can be done about it.


The new build 114 should be much more stable.
