Java minimum version

What is the minimum Java version you need to run this? I want to try from various vendors like IBM, Oracle, etc and see which one is best.


Also, does it run on Linux as it is supposed to be faster?

Java 8 is the minimum. You might need to restart it twice after changing version of Java.


Also, you need JDK, not JRE. We made these tests and there aren't big differences. Current Azul Zulu J11 seems to work the best on some configurations.


Linux version is planned, but we haven't had time for it yet.
