Keep having bug in MT4 when backtesting SQX generated EAs

It keep showing this error and failed to close my trades in MT4, just keep repeating this message and the trade will hang there forever until crash.



Please kindly let me know where the problem is and how to solve this issue, maybe there is a bugged function in SQX but i failed to pinpoint it.

I don´t think it´s really a bug, just an information (errors that Metatrader really sees as errors would be in yellow in front of the line). I still think the wording is strange and should be changed, as this indeed looks like a bug, but isn´t as I understand the message.

Geektrader's right - this is not a bug, it is just an info that the opening conditions were met, but an active order already exists.


If you want to disable those messages, set the variable "sqVerboseMode" in MQL code to 0. I will modify the messages to make it clear it has informational purpose only.


Concerning your strategy not trading after some date - I haven't analyzed it deeply, but at first glance I can see that your strategy doesn't use stop loss which is most probably the reason.


Avoid strategies without stop loss, because when the price goes against you right from the beginning, you can have large losses as trailing stop won't get applied!
