Do you have installed ZULU ? If yes, you need to deinstall this.

Status changed from New to Refused

It is caused by your antivirus.

SQX is missing file StrategyQuantX_nocheck.exe.

To run SQ set this file to ignore list in you antivirus.

Tamas, im sorry but you are wrong.

It is definetly NOT because of the antivirus.

The virus protection is mostly used as an excuse if you can't find a reason at once.

The bug is related to Java and a conflict with other versions (e.g. Zulu).

Please check this and do not refer to "virus program".

My next question is:

You say above that the bug was rejected but will be fixed in version 122.

How does that work?

Status changed from Refused to In progress

Please check the printscreen attached by Diwi. It is straightforward that file StrategyQuantX_nocheck.exe was changed by antivirus. The file name was changed to _nocheck0e5854....

StrategyQuantX.exe first check updates and then call StrategyQuantX_nocheck.exe which is missing in this case.

Regarding Java, SQX uses java from his installation directory /j64. So installed Zulu on your pc should not be a problem.

And that's where the mistake is:

a) this is not DIWI his reported bug but mine

b) it is precisely because THE ZULU WAS INSTALLED. I solved the problem by INSTALLING ZULU.

So it's definitely because SQ has a problem with Zulu

Look up at the other comments. There I gave exactly this hint and exactly this hint also helped Sean!

Please note that I also have the same problem, and no ZULU installed. So it is not a ZULU problem. I have some other Java installations which might be interfering with SQX. However SQX should not look for other Java installations, it should bring its own.

@PrecisionFX:

you're saying the same thing as me. It's not the virus protection. It's Java. For some it's ZULU, for others it's alternative forms, but definitely not some virus protection.

Marcel can you please try to delete file \internal\web\SQUANT\filesMD5.txt and then start SQX ?

If it does not help please attach a log file from /user/log/StrategyQuant

Please tell me why I should do this?

SQX has been running since I uninstalled ZULU.

Do it only in case if you need Zulu.

I tried to install it on my PC and SQ still works.
