Build 120 to 121 launchproblems: No start of SQX possible for build 120, 121

Hello,

I have override build 120 with build 121:

StrategyQuant X update to latest version as ZIP archive (always latest build)

Use if you want to manually update from previous version. Simply download and unpack it to your existing SQ installation.

It will NOT overwrite your existing data or settings.

SQX do not start ( no Zulu), no backup of build 120 :-(

AMD Ryzen i7-2700X, 8 Core

After that I have download the archive zip-file build 121:
StrategyQuant X as ZIP archive

and tried to install it without success.

these are strange problems, why does it work for everybody else? You must be doing somethign wrong.

If you'll make a clean installation of version 121 from ZIP archive, do you see any problems?

What if you start it using StrategyQuantX_nocheck.exe ?

So far, I've done the updates on the ZIP file. Download 'StrategyQuant X update as ZIP archive' and overwrite the old files. That had not worked. I deleted everything that was with SQX on the computer. I did a setup today. SQX works. There is nothing that I could do wrong in this process.

ok, my colleague helped me with this,. From your screenshots it is visible that you are missing file StrategyQuntX_nocheck.exe in your SQ folder after upgrade.

Most probably it was your antivirus that removed it and put it to quarantine. Without this file SQ will not start.

In another screenshot it is visible that it was probably recovered, but renamed to StrategyQuantX_nocheck_a78a11ec.exe. This will also not work.

So the whole issue is caused by your antivirus, it is nothing related to StrategyQuant.

I don't know why some antiviruses give false alarms like this, which one are you using? We can try to whitelist SQ wiht them.
