Strategy loading issue GC overhead error

In built 121 it is not more possible to load large number (>5000) strategies into a databank from local disc.

SQX exits with a "GC overhead exceeded" error or something similar, this problem was not present in builds<121.

Basically it takes longer and longer to load up new strategies and eventually the loading process stops or crashes...see attached video

After canceling of loading process, the load button is not working anymore.

how much memory do you use in SQ and how big are the strategi files you are loading in average?


I have no problem loading 30k strategies into SQ, but you need to have enough memory for that.


I think the problem in your case is caused by filling all available memory by loading first set of strategies, then Java becomes very slow and unresponsive.

I don't see memory chart in your video, so I cannot be sure.

We added a memory warning dialog which shows up when SQ is running out of memory during strategies loading.


As your problem is most likely caused by insufficient memory allocated to SQ, I mark this task as fixed.
