fail to download forex data

Hi 

I'm fail to download data from CDN...


I don't know what's going on..


It's hard to complete the download process, i often stuck and no any response

No, I come from Taiwan

I download GBPJPY symbol

I ask others to download it, they are all finished

It seems that only i have the problem even if i reinstall OS

But i can download it before...

Is it the issue of my internet provider? that's so strange

it is strange, don't you have firewall or antivirus that could be checking everything downloaded and slowing it?


Can you attach here a log from the day you downloaded it?

The log file indicates that you are downloading data from Dukascopy servers that's why it is so slow. Didn't you use fast download using CDN?


We had a temporary issue with CDN, which could have caused the problem, could you please comnfirm if it is working now?

Downloads are working fast in our tests.

This can be a CDN provider issue (Akamai etc.). They might not seed this stream of data into a specific location. This can happen if the CDN provider is US-based and client is located in a country-not-so-much-liked-by-US. For example, Android applications do not work in China.


Affected users - can you do two tests and share the results, please?

test 1 - please test data download directly from Dukascopy (without CDN) - for example on trial version of SQ-X

test 2 - please set up a VPN tunnel to the US or Europe - you can use free software for this (example: https://windscribe.com); double-check your public IP when VPN tunnel is ON (https://whatismyipaddress.com/) - to make sure that you appear as located in the US or Europe; finally, test CDN download.

Before I bought my SQX license and I was using Quant Data Manager, I had all sorts of download issues like this on an ADSL connection. Since I've upgraded to Fibre and/or been using Dedicated Servers in the US and Europe I've had no issues. Everything is fast as. 


I'm in New Zealand by the way.

When I rest the firewall as default. The downloading is well, and it's very fast from HK server.


It seems that SQ can't get the right setting of firewall in the windows 10.
