UI unresponsive

Hello

The UI becames at me often unresponsive.

Now I loaded more than 40.000 strategies to the Builder. But I realized, that I wanted it to the Retester. So I wanted to move them to the Retester.
The UI became unresponsive. Frozen. Stucked.

After clicking on OK, it started to copy them but again: stucked. I had to shut down the SQX.

What is the problem?

- GPU ist off
- store chart data is off
- 1 core for UI is reserved...

UPDATE:

I loaded the more than 40.000 strategies. But after clicking on start the UI is again unresponsive.
It is waiting 2-3 minutes and suddenly starts to retest the strategies but also at the same time wants to exit and save the strategies... STRANGE.

problem is simple - you want to work with too many strategies in databank

No. The old SQ3 could test 200.000 strategies without problem. I know.

I was always generating 4 x 50.000 strategies with 4 x SQ3 instances. Than I saved all the strategies in a folder. Than I loaded all the 200.000 in 1 SQ3. Everything went without any problem.

NOOOOOOOOO....................... AGAIN :(

I deliberately used just 1 SQX. I lowered the number of the strategies in the databank to 30.000.

In 6-7 hours I already had them. Very good.

AND AGAIN:

I wanted to retest them, and UI is again unresponsive...

I dont have any idea what sould I do. I have a very powerful computer.....

Please fix it asap....

I told you too, Hankeys. :) It is very strange, because SQ3 did not have such a problem if I used " -J-server -J-Xmx28g -J-XX:+DisableExplicitGC -J-XX:+AggressiveOpts -J-XX:+UseSerialGC"

Okay, without this line above had SQ3 also issues, but with that was great.

And I think SQX is a super good tool, so it would be bad, if such a problem would  make our job more complicated.

I believe I fixed one of the problems that could have caused this.

Just for confirmation - ths UI freeze happens after you start Retest, right?

Not when you only moving or loading strategies to databank.

Hi Mark

Thank you for your feedback.

Yes, the UI freezes after I hit "START"-button. I loaded the 40.000 strategies, I hit START and it freezes.

Now I lowered this number to 25.000. It happens also in this case, but I tried something: I did not touch anything. Nothing. I wanted, that the SQX "tries to solve this problem itself, happens, what happens...". After 5-6 minutes, after waiting and automatic reloading the UI went the retesting well. But anyway: it is annoying, because SQ3 was much more stable regarding this.

QUESTION: are the 40.000 strategies really much??? I can believe it hardly. :)

Thank you Marc!
