SQX build 126 limited to 12.8GB of RAM and getting out of memory errors

When loading strategies into retester, I get the SQ running out of memory error, even though I've got LOTS of RAM left AND I've set SQ to use up to 40GB or RAM in options.



I have 21,500 strategies in Project Builder as well in 6 databanks.


Machine details also included in attached image.


I have a second machine that's exactly the same and I have exactly the same issues on this one with 25,000 strategies in project builder!

keinc301 I've attached config files for my custom projects + retester config. Not sure how relevant these are because I was merely loading strategies into the restester databank from a folder with 4000 SQX files.


Since lodging this bug, I've cleared out my databanks for the custom projects and backed them up elsewhere and I'm not having this issue anymore, but it is annoying that it's limiting to 12.8GB on both of my servers.


I've also attached a screenshot of all my settings in the settings menus.

Ok now that I've cleared out a lot of the strategies in the Custom Projects databanks into my backup folders, SQX is now using more RAM (attached).


Both servers are now using ~18GB of RAM.


Previously, both servers were using exactly 12.8GB of RAM before when I had 20k+ strategies in the Customer Projects databanks (each databank was limited to 4000 strategies (FYI the config files may show a limite of 3000)) and would not go beyond this and the UI was extremely unresponsive on both servers too. Now that I've lowered the number of strategies to under 10,000 on both servers, the UIs on both are fine and SQX is using more RAM.

Hi Insanity82007,

I can't see any problem in SQ's source code. 

Have you clicked Save and restarted SQ after setting max memory in the Config popup?
