SQX 126 - Reinstate SQ 3.8.2 MT4 Code Parameter: UseMoneyManagement

Hi Mark

A useful SQ 3.8.2 Money Management MT4 code parameter was: UseMoneyManagement = TRUE/FALSE. Allowing user to confidently swap between live Money Management settings (TRUE) and Backtest setting (FALSE = Fixed Lots). SQX no longer provides this useful parameter in the MT4 code, making periodic Backtesting in MT4 more complex. Please can you consider reinstating parameter 'UseMoneyManagement = TRUE/FALSE' back into MT4 code.
Thanks

whats behind this? why to backtest with different MM?

in SQX its more simpler - you have strategy with MM and you get already MQL code with this MM - no need to set everything manually in MQL code itself like it was in SQ3

if you change your MM the strategies with ATR SL will be different

sorry, but we will not do it.

you can change MM in SQ in Source code tab (on the top right), adding one more param to EA would make it more complicated.

Hi Mark

Thanks for your quick response.

Ok, understood! To overcome, I will set Live strategies in MT4 to all use 'Risk Fixed % Balance' MM, but for monthly portfolio re-balancing I will set Backtest strategy copies, where 'Max Lots' = 'Size of no MM' in MT4 Inputs interface, to simulate 'Fixed Size' MM. Rather than change MT4 source code in SQX.

Hi hankeys

I run my portfolio of Live strategies using 'Risk Fixed % Balance' MM, but I re-balance this portfolio once a month based on MT4 results from 'Fixed Size' MM backtests.

Thanks
