Slippage column in list of trades always shows zero

Slippage column in "list of trades" always shows zero.

According to my comparison with MT4+TDS it seems to appear that slippage in SQX MIGHT be applied as round trip value but the docs says something different:

Slippage

Simulated slippage in pips/ticks – it will add the specified number of pips/ticks to the opening and closing price.

I was trying to verify my suspicions, that's when I noticed all zero's in the slippage column.

As a side note, please clarify is the slippage setting of 4 supposed to add 4 to the open and also add 4 to the close? Or would 4 be added total round trip such as 2 to open and 2 to close?

Hi Bentra,

the slippage column is inteded for Tradestation/Multicharts engine. It shows the total trade slippage in dollars.

When you backtest with TS/MC engine, the open a close price is not modified and the slippage is applied to the trade PL.

For MT4/MT5 engines the slippage in pips is applied directly to the opening and closing prices of orders.

If you set slippage to 1 pip, the trade will be opened and closed for 1 pip worse price. In tradelist slippage column will be zeros.

Best regards,

Tomas
