I have reinstalled B129. Looks like the behavior is by design. The buttons for custom projects examples work as long as the preinstalled project is present.

When custom example project is removed, the demo projects are not reloaded from "template" location on button click.

Yes, the link on the Home panel is just a reference to the custom project \user\projects\EW - H1 Simple

So it is logical that once you remove the project you cannot run it.
