I have 120gb set and it still gives me only 53.8. I restart SQX.

I have restarted SQX after changing the configuration settings. I have done this several times and it has made no difference. I still have a running out of memory message at < 7.8GB when I have it set to 25GB.

Memory option is saved to file StrategyQuantX_nocheck.config in SQX installation directory.

Please check if there is a correct value set. Secondly, are you sure that you have more then 8 GB RAM in your PC?

Can you create some printscreens where I can see info about available RAM in your PC + content of StrategyQuantX_nocheck.config file.

Can you please run SQX from command line with debug parameter

and then attach the log file

\user\log\launcher_2021_01_06.log

Tamas. I found and opened SQLI. I copied StrategyQuantX_nocheck.exe --launcher=debug

into it and hit enter and sqli says it does not recognize the command. How do I enter it so that it will work?

You need to open Command Prompt in Windows

https://www.digitalcitizen.life/open-cmd/

and type

StrategyQuantX_nocheck.exe --launcher=debug

Sorry Tamas. I already tried the Windows cmd and had the same response. I assume it is my lack of coding skills. Can you give me step-by-step instructions to perform the task you requested?

The easiest way -> go to SQX installation folder and type "cmd" on the address bar - after enter it opens CMD

Then copy there StrategyQuantX_nocheck.exe --launcher=debug

That is all.

or try google

open command prompt current folder

Check the log file. It reads jvm options from wrong config StrategyQuantX_nocheckl4j.ini

There should be only one config file StrategyQuantX_nocheck.config

Please delete that file and run SQX. Hopefully Heap Memory Chart will display correct size after that change.

Thanks Tamas. It now shows the correct amount of memory. By the way, after I ran the cmd and got the log file I restarted StrategyQuantX and found it had deleted all of my saved strategies.
