B131 Dev3 Mac Version - Save build Config buttons bugs

The load/save build configuration buttons on both Custom Projects and Builder have issues, see screenshot:



- incorrectly labelled as settings
- cause SQX to crash sometimes
- sometimes don't function, for example "save as"

There is a new button  "Mass apply config"  in Custom project, nothing else changed. 

Please provide more details what is wrong.

Not quite sure what you're missing from my original description? I didn't mention the "Mass apply config" button.


The load button on the left and save button on the right have the following issues:


- incorrectly labelled as settings, when hover the mouse over them (a minor issue)
- both these buttons cause SQX to crash sometimes when operated, the software freezes and needs to be rebooted.
- sometimes don't function, for example "save as" 


To be honest I have posted other bugs since Dev3 on the Mac and they are all GUI related. Im not sure whats happened but maybe it has something to do with the fact that it has had to incorporate the M1 chipset. I am running this on an Intel Mac.

I'm not sure what's the problem.

Maybe some problem related to showing file dialogs in Java.

Tested multiple times on my M1 mac and everything's fine.

I can't comment on that as I'm running it on an Intel Mac and not the M1.

Having used the Dev3 build for a while now I don't think it's an issue with those specific buttons. The software just crashes in general after 15 or 20 minutes navigating around the GUI. It doesn't seem to be tied to any specific activity. If I operate the GUI long enough, usually about 20 minutes, it will crash.


Maybe it was related to  https://roadmap.strategyquant.com/tasks/sq4_7791   ?

Ok, we found some threading issue which has been fixed. 

It should be fine in the next release.


I am closing this task, the labels are fixed.
