Also after searching my Mac, the file StrategyQuantX.locked does not appear to exist anywhere.
Edit: Now even after restarting my computer, I get the same error. SQX is now officially unusable unless I reinstall it.
I originally force quit SQX while using AW because I did not want it to run a backtest. Now the app will not open at all without giving that error.
This is a crucial bug that needs to be fixed or else I will have to reinstall SQX and redownload all my market data any time I need to force quit the application
2nd Edit: I had to use my IDE in order to dive into the app in the root of my machine in order to find the StrategyQuantX.locked file. Once I deleted this, everything worked again. However, if it weren't for the fact that I know how to code, I would not have been able to do this. This definitely should be addressed for casual users who would otherwise be locked out of the application completely with no access to anything.

This issue is not just on M1 chips, it's something that occurs on Mac since Build 131 so I hope it could be solved anytime soon.
