Using Linux Mint 21 which is based on Ubuntu 22.04. It uses their cinnamon desktop environment. I will try and install the KDE environment that Kubuntu uses to see if this fixes the problem.

OK. So it was the desktop environment with Cinnamon. Apparently this issue happens with GNOME which is a common desktop environment. Installing plasma did fix the issue though

Sorry! I installed Kubuntu and everything was working fine. I made edits to core counts and max memory in settings, restarted the app, and have the same issue again. The drop down menus appear in the upper left corner of the application. I attached the most recent log files.

OK. So it was the desktop environment. You need to use a common desktop environment like mate, xfce, or plasma. Linux Mint offers Mate and xfce but not plasma. To install plasma on Linux Mint you can follow this guide: How to Install the KDE Plasma Desktop on Linux Mint (makeuseof.com)
