Auto Update Broken

Anyone know how to update from 115 to 116/latest version?



Autoupdate is checked - usually I open SQX and it prompts me and updates.


Wont prompt. And there is no manual option.


Tried re-opening SQX, but this dint help...and the process of re-opening deleted all but 10 of 5000 strategies in the builder/results data bank that took several days to generate. Great!


Can potentially restore them from a windows restore point but this will take 7 hours. Great!


More of my time completely wasted.


Lets hope after wasting all this time, if 116 ever installs, all the bugs in walk forward optimization and WFM are fixed and these actually function now - and I wont be wasting the first two months of 2019 messing around trying to figure out whats wrong with it like I did the last 2 months of 2018.

dont update, dont install - download latest ZIPfile and move your settings, data, strategies...what ever. Simple and without problems

Thanks, this sounds great...you couldn't elaborate more could you? I have tried something similar in the past under the advice of SQX and lost all my data in the process..is it just the USER and DATA folders you copy across and overwrite on the new install, or more? With the DATA I have never got this to work properly, while it copies everything across each install appears to have some sort of reference file for the downloads so even when copied across the data is missing in the new install...takes days for me to download all the data again, and I am loathe to do this when 'auto-update' should just work
